Monica Gameiro - Art Director
As the art director I will be responsible for the planning and organising of the location we plan to film the documentary in. I will be keeping track of the art department budget and scheduling, as well as overall quality control. As it is a documentary I will not be planning artificial settings, I will be responsible in picking the correct locations where the subjects in our documentary feel comfortable in when being filmed. As a documentary it is important to put across reality and to make us the viewers feel involved in the story, my role toward cresting this feeling is to make sure our primary subject and other subjects are comfortable when being filmed by picking a location they feel at ease in and to allow them to wear what they like.
Being the art director I am in charge of the visual looks in print (poster) and how it communicate with our target audience. I will have to make decisions about what type of artistic style to use. The primary responsibility of an art director is to choose the visual elements used in the advertisement or commercial.
In post production I will be working alongside the main editor to make sure the artistic style of the documentary I planned and used in production comes across the best way possible and also make sure it is edited in a way where the audience feel involved in the story and content of our documentary.
