For this part of the Multi-media project I decide to base my photo essay on the harbour and beach of Newquay. It was a previous trip I had been on with my family so I knew it was a place I could capture some intriguing pictures around the coast.

Having previously really enjoyed my first visit to Newquay beach front surroundings and also having my photoessay project in mind, I decided to plan a return trip with my family for a weekend and take the opportunity to create my photoessay whilst there.  

For this project I wanted to capture spontaneous and unplanned moments, it was important for me to do this because I wanted to create an calm and smoothing atmosphere within the photographs which could not be portrayed if I was to stage any of them.

During this shoot I used NIKON D200. I made sure to experiment with various camera functions such as different exposure, depth of field, shutter speed and different angles.
