For my photo essay, I chose to follow the life of a secondary school teacher. When proposed with this project, I immediately preferred the idea of following the life of someone around as I felt you could create a story with 10-12 photos that way easier than just visiting a place where people go and hope you will get lucky. I thought following the life of a teacher would be interesting because apart from people in that profession, no one really knows what its like from their perspective. Luckily, when contacting the school, I managed to get permission to take photos around the school while following the assistant head of the school around for the day including his classes as he teaches both Key Stage 3 and Sixth Form.
